Wismer & Mathieson Projects Ltd. was incorporated in 1992. Westside Renos is what that company is called when it works on Okanagan homes.
Who we are
A carpentry company that specialises in what goes wrong.
Most renovation companies are finish companies. They are good at the part you can see and they subcontract the part you cannot. We came at it from the other end. This business was built on building envelopes, on the walls and roofs that keep weather out, and the carpentry grew from there.
That is why we are a member of BCBEC, the BC Building Envelope Council, and why our own president spends his spare time writing about vapour diffusion instead of about us.
We are municipally licensed and insured. We keep full-time carpentry crews rather than assembling a different team every job, and we encourage and facilitate our employees obtaining their carpentry ticket.

Dave Mathieson
Dave is the president of Wismer & Mathieson Projects Ltd. and the person whose name is on the resumes that come in through the careers page. He is also the one who wrote the building-science articles on this site.
